There are endless flooring styles to choose from so picking different options that complement one another but also add flair to a home usually takes the expertise of a trained eye. The flooring choices that were installed in the St. Jude Dream Home is no different than that in which we’d suggest to put in any one of your homes. The idea was to keep things fresh but also traditional.

You’ve already read our blog post on the hardwood floors we installed in the Rocky River home. To complement the light, distressed nature of those floors, we installed carpet and tile with a bit of a pop.

The carpet we installed in both the bonus room and stairs was Shaw’s Stern Grove in Sculpture. The pattern in the carpet brings a dimension to both spaces allowing the floor to act as another piece of design element.

The master bathroom has both an all white and a black & white hexagon mosaic tiles lending the look to be traditional with a modern touch. The wall in the master bath shower is tiled white as well to create a clean and crisp look throughout the space.

The lower level of the home is a wonderful bonus space and has a great tile floor that leads out to the outside patio. The flooring, while ideal for indoors, is a great segue to the outside world. Here, we installed Shaw’s Golden Gate Hexagon tile & stone in Lombard.

The laundry room, which is right off the beautiful hardwood floors, is outfitted in Golden Gate tile & stone in Presidio. We used light-color grout to bring out the detail of each tile.

Lastly, for the two additional bedrooms, we installed a simple Platinum Texture Tonal carpet in Aspen which will look good in any room and with any type of style and decor as you can see in the two photos below.

You can find all of these flooring choices at any of our four locations. Let us know if you have questions about anything we installed in the Dream Home or anything else you’d like to make your own dream home.
